Dye

A dye sublimation printer uses a print-head which heats ribbon containing dye. The dye is then diffused into a special type of paper. The main advantage of dye-sublimation is that it produces continuous images instead of dithering which means the quality of images is excellent. The main disadvantage is that they are quite expensive since they need special paper.
